Share Your Story

This fall, EANS is partnering with photojournalist Anica James to share the stories of people living with epilepsy in Atlantic Canada.
The project was inspired by Anica’s own experience with epilepsy, as well as time spent documenting the epilepsy treatment in Nepal.
“By sharing stories through images, words, and video, not only can we educate those who are unaware, but it will also be cathartic to those who struggle, allowing them to realize that they are not alone” said Anica. “Through this project, I hope to increase awareness and combat the stigma around epilepsy.”
Anica is also hoping to hold a gallery showing of the collected photos to help raise awareness for Epilepsy Awareness Month and Purple Day (March 26th). The finished stories will be posted here on the EANS website, as well as our facebook page.
