SUMMARY:Project H.O.P.E.
DESCRIPTION:Project H.O.P.E. is a four module program designed for persons living with epilepsy.   The four modules are Art Therapy\, Everyone has a Story To Tell\, Life Skills and Fitness and a healthy Pot Luck Lunch.  These modules will run on a rotational basis every four weeks until the end of June 2016.\n\nArt Therapy - Ever have trouble expressing how you feel; frustrated\, angry\, happy\, sad\, afraid and you just can't find the words?  Art therapy helps you express yourself when words are not enough.\n\nEveryone Has a Story To Tell - Get a free membership to the Writer's Federation of Nova Scotia (we provide that for you) and tell your story.  You could even be featured in our Newsletter!\n\nLife Skills - Those are the skills to deal with every day living.  Get a free slowcooker if you enroll for the entire module and we will learn to budget\, eat healthy\, meet a dietician and more.\n\nFitness and Healthy Pot Luck Lunch - Chair Yoga and Exercise Bands can give you a great workout just sitting or using a chair!  Then enjoy a healthy lunch with new friends!\n\nSnacks will be provided with every module\, coffee\, tea and or water.  All modules are free!\n\nProject H.O.P.E. is proudly sponsored by EISAI Canada.

Every year EANS aims to be at the forefront of this event and we need your help to do so. SUMMARY:Sunflower Campaign
DESCRIPTION:The Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia runs our Sunflower Campaign in June of every year.  The significance of the sunflower is it is based on VanGogh's painting "Sunflowers" and Vincent VanGogh has epilepsy.  We are always looking for volunteers who would like to participate in this campaign.  Some ideas would be to hand them out to your friends\, co-workers\, your staff\, your classmates and in turn they would give a donation for the seeds.  Everyone would get a packet of sunflower seeds and a bookmark with information on epilepsy.  If you are interested in volunteering for this campaign\, please call us at 902-429-2633.
